With stem cell research advancing, we as a society need to carefully think through what the consequences could mean to us all.

First of all let’s consider the world without stem cell, and its half brother genetics research. Our society would continue to treat disease SYMPTOMS but not the disease,  friends and loved ones would continue to die, and suffer, in the case of diabetes – a long slow death over a period of years.

Now let us consider our world with stem cell research! Cures will be developed over a period of years,  jobs will be created at a rate of 5.8 jobs per researcher, Social Security, and SSI benefits will become solvent as more and more people are removed from its roles.   Children and adults will no longer face certain death from various diseases, Insurance costs will plummet as less insurance is needed, Insulin, Dialysis,  and other “treatments” would still be used but on a TEMPORARY basis.

Imagine this new society!
